B.C. Buy Local Week on the Sunshine Coast
November 30-December 6

COVID-19 closures negatively impacted a number of locally owned businesses this year. To help our local businesses on the Sunshine Coast survive and recover, we recognize the need to provide marketing support to make up for lost revenues and get back on fiscal track. Christmas shopping and tourism offers a key opportunity to increase our local revenues for local businesses!

Our goal is to raise awareness for local shopping opportunities across the lower Sunshine Coast, and help connect both residents and visitors with local retailers, hospitality and tourist vendors this season to spend their money locally, and shop coastal.

This year, the Sunshine Coast community is joining the B.C. Buy local movement to spread this message and keep the issue front of mind for shoppers on the Coast.

Throughout B.C. Buy Local Week, we will be featuring “7 ways for 7 days” that people can shop locally.

You can expect to see lots of promotions for local shopping events, sales and deals at specific stores, opportunities to shop locally online, ads on the radio, in newspapers, on the street- in short, a lot of encouragement for shoppers to spend their dollars with you!

About B.C. Buy Local Week

BC Buy Local week is an annual celebration of the unique contributions that B.C. businesses make to our economy. They strengthen the social fabric and donate to local causes. They provide great jobs, and support local service providers, keeping money circulating in the community.

Consumers love local and B.C. Buy Local Week helps showcase B.C. local owned businesses, and B.C. local grown and local made products found in stores everywhere.
